DFW CSTA is excited to present this year’s Digital Divas 2024. This event will be open to Texas schools this year. The event will take place in-person and virtually on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. CST. Be sure to read all linked documents at the bottom to help you determine which option best works for your needs. Digital Divas is an all girls high school computer programming competition with three divisions plus a middle school division: *Never-Competed-Before Division - for girls with little-to-no programming experience *Novice Division - for girls with general experience in computer science *Advanced Division - for girls with greater programming experience *Middle School Division - a special non-competitive in-person workshop for middle school students We have contracted with CSTA national to use the Hopin virtual system for the hybrid general sessions. *During our scheduled 15 minute breaks students can choose to go on break or virtual participants can use those 15 minutes to meet another student(s) participating in the event. We call this opportunity Networking. Networking is a 1-1 opportunity to talk to a peer. *No adults will match with a student. This system will allow students to chat with all participants. *The main sessions will be monitored by chapter leaders, CSTA staff members, and other volunteers. The competition portion of this event will take place on the Hackerrank system. However, the keynote session, pre-competition instructions, and awards ceremony will take place on the Hopin system for virtual participants. In-person competitors will participate at University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, TX.
